Hi there,
Welcome to the CableCartoon, the official blog of the San Francisco chapter of ASIFA! We are very excited to be expanding the ASIFA website with a venue to serve our local animation fans. With the CableCartoon we hope to:

-Celebrate the achievements of our members and encourage new members to join our chapter.
-Promote and support local animators, cartoonists and animation events
-Be a resource for local cartoon enthusiasts
-Collect and preserve the history of animation in San Francisco and the Bay Area.

We have a lot of ideas on how to reach these goals in fun and informative ways so as we learn to drive the Car and figure out what all these levers are for, please feel free to ring the bell and introduce yourself. We hope you enjoy the ride!

PowellMason is the handle of the Cable Cartoon's conductor, Ric Carrasquillo. He is a cartoonist and painter and knows alot about modern furniture.

Joe Sikoryak is a cartoonist and editor of ASIFA-SF.org who graduated from the animation program at SFSU in 1980 and became an unemployed in-betweener shortly thereafter.  Joe has just completed his first animated short with his brothers Steve and Rob under the "Sikotronic" banner. You can check out his non-animated work at www.designwell.com

Andrew Farago, aka Mr. Hyde (which is also the name of his ninth grade Geometry teacher),  spends his days making the world safe for cartoons as the Gallery Manager and Curator of San Francisco's Cartoon Art Museum .  He spends his nights drawing The Chronicles of William Bazillion which effectively cancels out that first bit.
